Mrs. Levy
My name is Alicia Levy. My husband Ari and I are expecting our first baby (girl) this November, so we took one last adventure this summer to Australia. We were able to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef. I saw some amazing sea creatures and look forward to teaching my second graders about them. This is my ninth year teaching at Diego. I graduated from Albion College in the spring of 2003. In 2007 I completed my Masters degree in Early Childhood Development at Erikson Institute. In November 2008 I gained my National Board Certification, and in May 2009 I was given one of the Golden Apple teacher of distinction awards. I am proud to be returning to Diego this year and look forward to a wonderful 2011/2012 school year!! Go Eagles!

Ms. Baez
My name is Marilyn Baez and this is my 16th year as a teacher at Jose de Diego Community Academy. Jose de Diego is truly my second home. It has been a part of my and my family’s lives for many years. Not only did my two brothers, Hector, Richard and I graduate from here, but my mom, Julia, also worked at Jose de Diego for many years.
I spent 10 years as a student at Jose de Diego (Pre-K through 8th grade) before attending Albert G. Lane Technical High School and DePaul University. I have a degree in Elementary Education and have proudly taught every grade 1st through 8th! Through the years, I have had the honor of teaching my friends’ children and now the children of my former students! I am the proud mother of a 7 year-old boy, Karlo. I am also the proud aunt of a Jose de Diego alumnus, Hector, Jr. I enjoy spending time with my family and giving back to my community.

Ms. Fett
My name is Natalie Fett and I am excited to return de Diego for my 2nd year. I grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University where I received a degree in Psychology. I continued my education at Depaul where I completed my Masters in Education in Elementary Education. In my spare time I love to play volleyball, read, travel, and relax with family. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year!
