My name is Pam Alexandroff, once and still known to many as Pam Eidenberg. I am a mother, grandmother, teacher, and consummate student of both life and living, and in the traditional sense as a learner. My lifelong desire to be a teacher and my own love of learning resulted in my pursuing an advanced degree in teaching in order facilitate the learning of young minds. I ventured out on my teaching career when I was forty years old, and I have spent all but four months of that period teaching at our wonderful school. It has been a glorious and exciting time for me and during my years at Diego received a second Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education. I continue to seek more learning opportunities for myself and to enjoy the glory of life and the opportunity it provides. In my free time I exercise, enjoy cooking, love to eat, and read novels, cookbooks, magazines, trade journals, books on teaching and education, and anything else I can get my hands on! Importantly, I enjoy sharing my thoughts and ideas in writing!
When I first arrived at José de Diego, I taught Language Arts and supported the Social Sciences curriculum by assisting students in preparation for the Constitution exams. At that time, I taught both seventh and eighth grade children. From there, I happily moved to grade six and have enjoyed many years teaching and knowing a multitude of fabulous children. In yet another teaching role, I facilitate the learning of adults at the University of Phoenix with a primary concentration in diversity studies.
During my time at our fine school, my two children have grown to be successful and happy adults, and I am the proud grandmother of a wonderful little boy. Similarly, I have had the grand opportunity of visits from students who have also grown to be successful young adults. I look forward to the coming school year with great enthusiasm!
