Hi! my name is Juan M. Madrigal and this is my 4th year teaching here at Jose de Diego Community Academy. I have taught third grade and 7th grade math. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2005 with a B.A. in elementary education. I am looking forward to a fun and exciting school year! Best of luck to all students!

Ms. Kemptner
My name is Carita Kempner and this is my third year working at Jose de Diego Community Academy. My current role at Jose de Deigo is as the Magnet Cluster Literacy Coach . My Bachelor’s degree is in Elementary Education and Special Education, and my Master’s degree is in Reading. In past years, I have worked at St. Francis Hospital as an x-ray technologist, have taught fifth and sixth grade at St. Margaret Mary School, and worked at Loyola University in the Institute of Pastoral Studies and University Ministry.
I am blessed to be the mother of three wonderful children, Bobby, Mike, and Katie, along with being the proud grandmother of Claire and Liam. A third baby will be joining the family this July. I am an avid reader, and have enjoyed being a member of a neighborhood book club for many years. In my free time, I love to travel, play bridge, cycle, and spend time with family and friends.
