An identification process is applied to the population at each grade level to determine the top 10% that qualify for the Comprehensive Gifted Program. Three identifying criteria are utilized to capture a well-rounded snapshot of student’s abilities. They are:
- Teacher recommendation
- Grade point average in
Reading and Math
- Standardized test scores
These criteria are reviewed for each child enrolled in the Comprehensive Gifted program at the end of each school before promotion to the next grade.
